NT Government failure to notify of flesh eating bacteria a disgrace

Northern Land Council (NLC) Chief Executive, Norman Fry, today said that the NT Government’s abject failure to warn residents in the McArthur River region of the life threatening danger from flesh eating bacteria which have killed four people in six years was an absolute disgrace.

    What do you think the Pres would say?

    Why have the fisho’s been so quiet on the flesh-eating bacteria and for that matter the mine expansion? It would seem that peole who enjoy fishing in the bay and the gulf would have a lot to lose if the mine expasnion causes more pollution and/or disease.

    I know AFANT didn’t object to the mine, never heard much from the King Ash Bay representatives.
